Dental Check-up
Report
A dental check-up, also referred to as a dental examination allows the dentist to fully assess the health of your teeth and gums and identify any areas of early decay, acid erosion, toothbrush abrasion or gum disease.
The dentist will first perform a thorough check of your mouth, they will use a small mirror to look closely at your teeth and identify areas of plaque build-up, decay or gum disease.
It may be necessary for them to take x-rays to fully assess areas not visible to the naked eye, such as tooth roots, surfaces between teeth and bone levels in your jaw.
